WallyHoop Privacy Policy

WallyHoop ("we", "us", "our") provides basketball live streaming, replay, and highlight services on iPhone, Apple Watch, and web. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account Data: username, login credentials (password hash and salt), account creation time, membership tier, and related account settings.
• Live Streaming Data: stream title, stream ID, stream status, start/end timestamps, replay metadata, highlight metadata, and uploaded cover images.
• Camera and Microphone Data: video and audio captured when you start a live stream.
• Location Data (CoreLocation): location text and/or coordinates when you choose to share location for a live session.
• Photos Data (PhotosUI / Photo Library): cover image selection and optional save-to-photos actions you trigger in the app.
• Apple Watch Event Data: watch tap events used to create moments/highlights.
• Chat Data: live chat messages, usernames, and timestamps.
• Technical Data: IP address, viewer ping status, device/session identifiers, request logs, and service health metrics used for reliability and abuse prevention.

How We Use Data

• Provide live streaming, replay playback, highlights/moments, and chat functionality.
• Operate account and membership features.
• Support Apple Watch interactions and moment generation.
• Provide user-requested features such as location display and saving media to your photo library.
• Protect the service from abuse, enforce limits, and improve reliability.

Permissions and Device Access

• Camera: used only for live video capture when you stream.
• Microphone: used only for live audio capture when you stream.
• Location: used when you enable location for stream metadata/display.
• Photo Library: used when you select cover images or save replay/moment media to your library.

Third-Party SDKs and Service Providers

We use third-party software and infrastructure to deliver core functions. This may include:

• HaishinKit / RTMPHaishinKit: used for real-time audio/video streaming transport.
• Apple Frameworks: AVFoundation, CoreLocation, PhotosUI, WatchConnectivity, and related system services.
• Server Infrastructure: streaming and media processing components used to publish HLS, generate recordings, and create highlights.

These providers process data solely to provide requested functionality. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Storage and Retention

Retention depends on account type and membership policy. Guest content may be removed after 24 hours. Registered content is retained according to your plan and storage limits. We may remove older files to enforce quota and retention rules.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share data when required by law or to protect service integrity.

Your Rights and Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and related data. WallyHoop supports account deletion through in-app account controls and backend deletion APIs. Once deletion is completed, account data and associated content (such as streams, replays, highlights, and chat records tied to that account) are removed or scheduled for removal from our systems.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

WallyHoop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can investigate and delete such data where required.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located in jurisdictions different from your residence. We apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to service operations.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including access controls, logging, and operational monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and publishing the revised version.

Your Choices

You can stop using the service at any time, control app permissions in iOS/watchOS settings, and contact us regarding account or privacy requests.
